I likes my little accent nails on my birthday mani I did it again todays mani. We have two coats of the Sugar Plums and then my accent finger is in Trixie topped with serving up sparkle. This is in direct sunlight. I do not think that flourescent lights do this polish justice at all. I have always like this polish. It is just such a pretty rich color with added holo sparkle.This plum like purple is extremely pretty outside but seems to be lacking indoors. They both went on well and dried fast but Trixies dry time is amazing. Well untill tomorrow.

Day late birthday mani

So yesterday was my birthday and I know I am a day late with my birthday mani but here is it! I used Zoya tangy for the mani part of it with an accent finger in Kimber. This was topped with OPI Rainbow Connection. This picture is in direct sunlight. Yeah for it warming up finally on a consistent basis.This is in the shade. I love how the glitter turned out… Ok I know I put up a fight but I am really starting to like glitter. I even ordered some to make a few new polishes. This makes my think of lime green cupcakes.We even have a picture with indoor lighting. Well I had a good birthday. Hubby took me out to dinner, and then helped me order glitter! He is a great husband. I also was very lucky to get so many people wishing me a happy birthday. It was very nice. Well I hope you enjoyed this post and I will see you tomorrow.

Franken Friday with a New collection

So I am bring you all my limited collection of 3 Lives. This is a limited series as I WILL run out of the ingredients to make these and then that’s it, since I can not buy anymore of them. So first up will be the Past.This is named Past. I named it such since it seemed almost fall like. Like the changing of colors and times from your past into your present or future. This polish has 2 different color shifting micro glitter, green bar glitter, small red hex and medium multi colored glitter. Some of the pictures turned out amazing, and capture the color changing tiny glitter. Next up is the Present.This is named Present since it seems to be a very in the moment glitter top coat. It has lilac small glitter, large holo blue green glitter, color shifting micro glitter, small green glitter, and then multi colored medium hexes. It reminds me of spring and life. The changing greens and splashes of bright colors. Wish I had a better bottle shot but need to make some more up. Last we are visiting the Future.I find that it has an ethereal look to it being misty and unknown like our futures are sometimes. It is has grey and blue super fine flakies, along with blue multi sized iridescent flakies. It is difficult to really capture the iridescent flakes but over the colors you can see them. It gives a little more dimension to the blue and grey tiny ones.

Over all I love this set and it was fun really playing with glitter for the first time. Well stop by my store and pick up a set while you can

Pink wednesday Cupcakes

So since it was pink Wednesday I thought I would bring you my fail cupcakes. Why do I call these fail nails, well it just didn’t turn out like I had imagined it. I have seen so many cute cupcake manis and so I thought how hard can it be, well in this case harder than I thought.It was just ehh for me. I used Lola underneath for the bottom, then topped it with a white. Well the pink just bled right through. And then my sprinkles were ehhh. Now I know I could have turned the picture and you could have seen the cupcakes right side but at this point it wouldn’t have saved them Well I am sure I will try again later… as I love this nail design… but for now this is what you get!

Fail Candy Mani

Ok so be prepared for a few days of fail since there is at least one more to come after this post tomorrow. But today it my candy mani fail. I call it a fail since in my head it seemed so pretty, yet once done looked like butt. So I started with this wonderful base color which I love, and then topped it with snowglobe. I chose that since I didn’t want to lose a lot of the orange color. We then when to this top jelly.It just ended up looking dirty almost… just kinda like orange chunky weirdness all over my nails But I am liking this candy mani thing more and more so try try again. Or as Yoda says “do or do not, there is no try” Well I obviously did not on this one

Uptown Dash

I am bringing you a very no frills sort of post today. It is Uptown Dash by Color Club. We have it here with indoor lighting and two coats with a top coat. And now the outside shot, but in cloudy weather… summer is almost here… kinda.

Mellow day as I try to sort things out. Been working on the house and other things that need sorting. Also want to make a few new polish colors with the amazing new pigments I got in… but no inspiration yet. Anyone have some ideas?

Cherry Blossoms with Sea Spray

Today was amazing. We went to Saturday market and walked around for hours, ending it with Italian ice while sitting in the grass in the sun. We then decided that we would grab the tent and head to Hagg Lake for the remainder of the day. It was wonderful weather. This is what we ended up catching.Nathan caught 5 and I caught 4. He was very excited to use the stinger. Now you know those people you go fishing by and they pull in one after another after another … all in what seems like an hour span while no one in half a mile catches anything… well that was us. No one was doing anything but us and it was hopping. Though now I must share my favorite picture of the day which was his hair!I love his hair long and flowing like that… but I digress… back to nails. I am bringing you my cherry blossom nails today.I used Sea Spray as the back and Come to Poppy for the pink. I just love how they turned out. I recently did a craft with my students making a picture like this with recycled pop bottles. There was a little bit of streaking from the top coat but not bad. I think they turned out very cute. Hope your Sunday was as good as mine!

So since it is Franken Friday I am just going to put up a post with every color I have created in the past several months. I will be rolling out a limited edition collection here in a few day and just want my other colors to have a chance to shine as well. So here are my beauties!

: Fire’s Night

This is Fire’s Night. A top coat, special effects type polish. The effect with a color shift from red-copper-gold along with a holographic glitter. This pictures shows it over a black base.

: Air’s Night

This is Air’s Night. A top coat, special effects type polish. The effect with a color shift from gold-green, to silver-green, to blue along with a holographic glitter. This special effects work best on top of a dark polish or black base coat. When put on a lighter polish is shimmers the color shift and holo glitter. (Can you since the pattern of how these top coats work )

: Water’s Night

This is Water’s Night. A top coat, special effects type polish. The effect with a color shift from turquoise-blue-violet along with a holographic glitter. This special effects work best on top of a dark polish or black base coat. When put on a lighter polish is shimmers the color shift and a glitter.

: Soul’s Day

This is Sou’s Night. A top coat, special effects type polish. The effect with a color shift from silver purple to a blue sliver green along with a holographic glitter. This special effects work best on top of a dark polish or black base coat. When put on a lighter polish is shimmers the color shift and a glitter.

: Earth’s Night

Here is the last in the Elemental Night collection, Earth’s Night. A top coat, special effects type polish. The effect with a color shift from light green to rose along with a holographic glitter. This special effects work best on top of a dark polish or black base coat.

: Succulent

This is part of the Spring 2012 Flowers and plants collection. The name Succulent seemed to describe perfectly the light green with hints of blue undertones this polish has, looking just like certain succulents do. There is a golden sheen to the polish that reflects in the light, holo micro glitter giving it a sparkle, and lastly green micro fleck of shimmer. 3 coats are needed with this polish.

: Hydrangea

This is part of the Spring 2012 Flowers and plants collection. Hydrangea was named due to the various colors it can come in from pinks and purples to blues. This is light purple with blue and pink undertones, and pink micro flecks or shimmer.

: Honeysuckle

Honeysuckle is the name that my husband picked when I asked him to help me name this polish and I think it fits, since it reminds me of honey yet has that green hidden twist making it plant like. This is a warm medium to light brown. It has a duochrome shine of green with green micro glitter shimmer in it. The picture above shows it with 3 thin layers, and needs the 3rd to completely cover the nail line if you use it thin.

: Azalea

This is part of the Spring 2012 Flowers and plants collection. Azalea is a Mauvish red with pink undertones. Hidden in her beauty is micro holo glitter, and blue and purple micro glitter to give her a hidden sparkle. The finish looks metallic and applies will with 2-3 coats.

: Freanch Roast

French Roast is part of the daylight savings duo. It is a warm brown with lots of red under tones, and copper brown shimmer through out. 4 different micas went into making this complex beauty.

: Coffee Grounds

Coffee grounds is part of the daylight savings duo. It is a cream jelly base with copper and black small glitter in it with a bit of reflective gold.

: Classic Peep

Classic Peep is part of the Easter 2012 Duo. It is a bright yellow with tons of character. This polish has red and blue mirco glitter mixed in that does not over power the almost golden rod color of yellow, it just gives it a hidden extra shimmer to it.

: Grandma’s Sunday Best

This is Grandma’s Sunday Best from my Easter 2012 Duo. It is a color named after what I would imagine my grandma wearing to church. This is a dusty frosty purple. There are hints of green and purple micro glitter in there making sure it is not your average flat frosty purple

: It’s A Boy

These two new colors are in remembrance my lost baby, It’s a Boy and It’s a Girl. Even though pregnancy doesn’t always go as planned it is a happy experience when it does and I hope these polishes reflect that. Whether your pregnant or not these are the perfect gift for yourself or a friend. It’s a Boy is blue. It has teal holographic glitter and dark blue glitter, in a light blue jelly base with blue micro shimmer glitter in it.

: It’s A Girl

It’s a Girl is pink. It has a lavender holographic glitter and a medium pink glitter, this is in a slightly metallic jelly pink base with purple pink micro shimmer glitter in it.

: Pretties in Pink

My last polish today is one that I made in the very beginning and was one of my first polishes. This is a pink for anyone who doubts a love of pink. It is a medium multi-colored shimmer pink with small and large red Hex glitter in it.
