So today I am bring you one from my new Spring collection of Plants and Flowers. This is Azalea. So if you do not know what a red Azalea looks like then here is a picture.

Well the is where the name came from and now onto the polish.This picture is in cloudy sunlight and has 3 thin coats and a top coat of SV. Speaking of which the shrinkage has been getting bad with that top coat. Any way… this is a mauve red with pink undertones, holo micro glitter, and blue and purple micro flecks in it. It look slightly metallic in most lights. 3 coats are needed depending on how thick your coats are. Here was have artificial light. I am very excited about how they turned out and will be releasing a few more of the colors over the next few days. Building a vented area for frankening.

So I never use to think to much about this. Sure my head may have hurt a little after making polish orders for an hour… but it went away. Well I stared using a new base for my polish line and with in minuets my head hurt, so my wonderful hubby decided to make me a vented area to work it. Thing you will need: a box, box knife, tape, saran wrap, drier tube, and fan. * a few cats might not hurt either First trace round the drier tube near the back corner of the box on the top… fumes will rise up the tube. The opening to the box should be facing out. Then cut out the circle that will become the hole to put the tube into. Don’t make it too big or the tube will fall out. Next insert the tube into the hole you just cut. If need be place tape around the edges to not only hold it in place but keep air going into the tube. Next tape the other end of the tube to the back of the fan. Make sure that tape is covering the whole back of the fan leaving only the air from the tube able to get through.
On the top of the box we decided to cut out a u shape to allow more light to come into the box where I would be working.
If you cut the U shape you will need to cover and seal it off with saran wrap since the fumes would just rise out of there instead of the tube. You are almost done. Hook up the fan to point out a window. Turn on the fan and tada! We did add another “curtain” to the box just to keep as many fumes in as possible. The drier hose was around 8$ and could stretch up to 8 feet or more meaning if I wasn’t right by a window I could make it reach. Well this has been a how-to-make it yourself vent hood for under $20. So today I am bringing you Electric eel with some Lynderella at the end and the winner to the amazing give away I posted on Friday!!!!I was way excited when I finally got this polish! It is a great bright green that is good for layering over things, which I did not do here. Instead I just did 3 coats and decided to put things on top of it!This is one coat of All Hallow’s eve, which is supposed to be Halloween like, but I don’t care. I love this combo. I loved it so much I had to try it with two coats.I love it!!!! I have 3 from the indie line Lynderella and love them all. I feel like this could be a great St. Patrick’s day mani also! So now the time all 7 of you are waiting for. That’s right, only 7 people entered my contest. Which means that only 7 people have read my blog fully or not just scrolled through pictures. Re-fresh mint Friday- Closed

Today I bring you a mint green called Re-fresh mint. Looking at the picture I realize now that 2 coats might not have done it and a third was in order but oh well.So this was taken a few weeks ago when there was a break in sunshine and it was amazing. I am not truly motivated to paint my nails at the moment so there was nothing new to show … I love this color though and since so many others do it I went layer crazy on it.I put a layer of Dazzle me over it.. .it was really pretty… not drastic change though. It is so hard to capture sparkle becuase my camera focuses it right on out… So I heard I need a stThen finished it with some flakies. They are really hard to capture on film. So I am going to do this super secert style since this is an experiment for me and a bonus for all of you who acuatally read my blog all the way! I am giving away a 4piece mini set of the OPI holland collection, and all you have to do is send me an email to Polishedcomponents@gmail.com with your name. Funky Wedge

So I know you thought that since Valentine’s day was over you wouldn’t see red on blogs for a while… bwhahahahaha! Today I bring you a color from a brand I have never heard of but suddenly found in Cosmoprof the other day. It is Venique, and the color is Funky Wedge. So I am giving you the boring picture first. The I am going to take this in my kitchen since the outside light is to cloudy and icky. But I love it. Even in this light you can see the dimension. Now for the fun with the flash…I love it. It was only two coats and applied really well. Didn’t smell and dried pretty fast. I love finding new things. It is great since there were a ton of colors and they were the same price as China Glaze. I bought one other color to try out so keep an eye out for it.

For an extra today I am bring you a piece that I have custom ordered through my Etsy Store. They were three custom robots and keys made to the persons specific requests, and I think they turned out great! I love working with resin and it can be turned into so many different things. Magnetic pink design

So I know I haven’t been here in a few day but have been so busy. I am excited to bring you a lot more than just nails today. In fact you only get one picture of nails today and that is of a mani I did using Layla’s purple magnetic and the pink magnetic from Claire’s. Nope today I want to talk about women. We are fickle creatures and it is no wonder that men have a hard time understanding what we want when we ourselves do not know most the time. We say what society wants us to say most the time, and when we don’t we are deemed as demanding and bitchy. So that negatively re-enforces the behavior of not being ourselves. I am guilty of this as well. I noticed this on Valentine’s day. I wanted flowers. Not a huge bunch but something… Now in my head I was thinking, why should I want flowers he does so much, I am just being unreasonable. Then another thought of well I am not asking for a lot on this day so flowers seem an ok thing to want. This went on all day… by the time I got home I was so sure he wouldn’t get me anything that I was in a place that I couldn’t see them when I came in the door. He had to point them out to me.

They were beautiful. He got me snapdragons which are my favorite. He always comes through and knows exactly what I want and need. Yet it took all day of me playing a mind game with myself to see it… I am hoping that everyone’s Valentine’s day was less stressful than mine Also on a side note I have hit 400 followers on Facebook, so I wanted to do a giveaway. Yet whenever I blog or post on Facebook, its like I am talking to myself. Which is fine. I love to write and this is just a way to share my thoughts for the day and a love of polish… but I don’t really want to have a giveaway if no one is watching till I do. So weigh in if you have an opinion.

Magnetic nail art- zombie

So I actually did this mani a while ago, but then with my grandma dying it felt odd to post it since it reminded me of zombies. I know that it seems silly but it was just weird from me. I really like this mani to it was just alot of fun with the colors and having the magnets.I used metallic Sky from Layla on one side and then claire’s green magnetix polish. It is one coat of each then the stitches down the center with a top coat. I love how fast magnetic polishes dry.This was all taken with a cloudy sky since it is still winter and we will not see sunshine for a while.

I am having a lazy weekend. Going to probably get a kindle fire, which I am excited about. Also I am out of base for making polish and there for I am unable to make anything until it is stocked again. Whatever I have on my front page of etsy is what I have. I have a different base coming in that I will make something new out of though probably so stay tuned for that. And if you get a chance and want to like my picture on Barielle’s page that would be great!

Gotta Have Fate

Ok so I know that today should have been a franken Friday… but not sure if you guys were getting sick on me posting frankens…. so I went a different route. I am posting my contest entry for Barielle’s “Love is at your Fingertips” contest. You had to use a red or pink in their shades and paint your fingers in a Valentine’s day mani. This is my entry.I used a base coat of Pink Sherbet, which is a pale sheer pink (I think it leans more nude color with pink shimmer), and a gradient of Gotta have Fate, which is a coral but that falls under pink for me if you have seen my pink Wednesday posts.

I think this is a cute mani that is not the typical red or pink mani but something a little more fun and bright. Well if you have a chance I would love for you to head over and like my picture. Thanks again.
